Ibrahim Musah, a 67 year old man is in the grips of the police for sexually abusing a 13 year old girl on several occasions and also impregnating her.
A court presided over Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku, upon having an encounter with Musah, a.k.a Tefle, a private security man stated that he proved not guilty to the charge of defilement.
Narrating the incident, the Prosecutor DSP Adolphine Dzansi, said the incident which took place at Adenta where both Musah and the complainant, who happens to be the girl’s aunt, and the girl were all residents of a compound house.
He added that according to the statement of the complainant, due to the friendly relationship between the two sides, Musah usually requests of the girl to ran errands for him.
However, in December last year, upon sending the victim to buy a sachet of water for him, he pushed her to his bed upon her arrival and forced himself on the 13 year old girl an sounded a strong warning to her not to report the incident to anyone.
However, upon a careful observation in the changes in the victims demeanour, the aunt asked her when was the last time she saw her menstruation, to which she answered last year December as well as reporting the whole incident to her.
The complainant then reported the incident to the police who picked Musah up and charged at an Accra Circuit Court.
The case has been adjourned to April 3 for hearing and Musah upon pleading not guilty has been told that a DNA will be conducted to establish the verdict of the story.
The Prosecutor further added that, upon the statement of the complainant, who is a trader was given a police report to assist her in seeking medical attention for her niece, a class three pupil at any government hospital, which revealed that the girl is three months pregnant.
