Mahama’s Governance Being Validated by Posterity – Buem MP

The Member of Parliament for the Buem Constituency and former National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams, has stated that former President John Dramani Mahama’s long-held belief that “posterity will judge him” is being fulfilled.

According to him, the positive judgment of posterity is evident in Mahama’s return to government and in the significant improvements Ghanaians are witnessing under his leadership. Kofi Adams emphasized that Ghanaians clearly remember the state of the nation before Mahama returned to office, particularly under the Nana Akufo-Addo-led administration.

He noted that the economy at the time had deteriorated so badly that bondholders suffered haircuts under the NPP administration, Ghana was downgraded to junk status due to its inability to meet debt obligations, inflation soared, and the cedi experienced severe depreciation.

Kofi Adams stressed that the situation has “completely turned around” under President Mahama. He highlighted that the cedi has appreciated, inflation has dropped significantly, and fuel prices have reduced, all clear indicators, he said, that posterity is still judging Mahama favourably.
