President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has observed that Ghana and Zambia appear to be moving along the same economic trajectory, as both countries have faced similar financial challenges in recent years.
According to President Mahama, Ghana and Zambia have both undergone debt restructuring processes, engaged in negotiations with official creditor committees, and are currently implementing major economic reforms aimed at achieving fiscal consolidation and restoring economic stability.
He noted that these shared experiences create an opportunity for the two nations to learn from each other and exchange valuable lessons that could strengthen their respective recovery efforts.
President Mahama made these remarks in his opening address at the State House in Zambia, as part of his three-day official visit to the country.
