Mag-Mawuli Donates Desks, Learning Equipment to Schools in Sakumono

Hon. Gilbert Mag-Mawuli, Assemblyman for the Sakumono Electoral Area and former Presiding Member of the Tema West Municipal Assembly (TWMA), has donated desks and educational equipment to schools in the area to improve teaching and learning.

The intervention followed a visit to one of the schools, where he discovered that three to four pupils were sharing a single desk that was in poor condition.

Concerned about the situation, Hon. Mag-Mawuli decided to mobilise funds to provide additional desks and help create a more conducive learning environment for pupils.

As part of the initiative, he donated 50 dual desks to Primary One and Two pupils, as well as 50 desks each to Junior High School One and Two students at Sakumono Complex School.

He also presented 50 desks to Holy Child Basic School to address some of the furniture needs of pupils.

In addition to the desks, Hon. Mag-Mawuli donated two 50-inch television sets to the two kindergarten units at Sakumono Complex School to support e-learning and other educational activities.

He said education and teaching were close to his heart, adding that his commitment to supporting schools was driven by the need to address challenges affecting teaching and learning in his electoral area.

Hon. Mag-Mawuli further disclosed that he had provided a sickbay for the school, which previously lacked such a facility.

According to him, he renovated and furnished an old room to serve as the sickbay. The facility is ready for use and awaiting its official opening.

He also revealed that he had supplied printers and projectors to schools in the area as part of efforts to improve teaching and learning.

Hon. Mag-Mawuli reaffirmed his commitment to extending similar support to other schools in the Sakumono Electoral Area, with the aim of improving educational infrastructure and creating better learning conditions for pupils and students.
