Deputy minority leader Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah has expressed his surprise at the admission made by the former NPP northern regional chairman Daniel Bugri Naabu regarding the content of the tape plotting the removal of the IGP Dr. George Akufo Dampare.
Daniel Bugri Naabu confirmed the veracity of the contentious audio when he appeared before the ad-hoc parliamentary committee probing the issue on Monday, August 28, 2023.
In a candid admission, Bugri Naabu confirmed that the crucial conversation, which sparked controversy, indeed transpired between himself and three other high-ranking police officers.
The deputy minority leader who is an advocate in parliament initiated the committee investigation and noted that Bugri Naabu was forthright in the statement to the committee.
He expresses confidence in the committee’s ability a thorough inquiry into the matter.
