Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has welcomed some of Nigeria’s biggest movie stars to Ghana as preparations begin for his latest film project.
The Nigerian stars arrived at the Accra International Airport on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, where they were warmly received by Lil Win and members of his team.
Among the stars who arrived are veteran actors Kanayo O. Kanayo and Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, as well as Mike Ezuruonye, Zubby Michael and Destiny Etiko.
Their arrival is linked to Lil Win’s upcoming movie, A Journey to Africa (Nzulezu), a project expected to bring together major talents from Ghana’s Kumawood industry and Nigeria’s Nollywood.
The movie takes its name from Nzulezu, the famous stilt village located in Ghana’s Western Region. The community, built over the Amansuri wetland, is one of Ghana’s notable tourism attractions.
The choice of Nzulezu as part of the project is expected to provide an opportunity to showcase Ghana’s rich culture, heritage and tourism destinations to audiences across Africa and beyond.
The production also continues Lil Win’s push for stronger collaboration between Ghanaian and Nigerian filmmakers following his previous international project, A Country Called Ghana, which featured several Nigerian actors.
With the arrival of the Nigerian stars, attention is now turning to the commencement of filming and what promises to be another major Ghana-Nigeria collaboration on the big screen.OThe project is expected to further strengthen the relationship between Ghana’s film industry and Nollywood while creating opportunities for actors and other creatives from both countries to work together.
