Lil Win Honoured as Nekoso Hene of Nzulezu in Western Region

Ghanaian actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win has received a traditional honour after being enstooled as the Nekoso Hene of Nzulezu in the Western Region.

The actor was honoured during a colourful cultural ceremony that brought together traditional leaders, community members, family, friends and well-wishers to celebrate the new chief.

Videos from the ceremony show Lil Win dressed in traditional regalia as he formally takes on his new role, marking another significant moment in his relationship with Ghanaian culture and traditional leadership.

His enstoolment adds a new dimension to the actor’s public profile, which has largely been built around his successful career in Ghana’s entertainment industry.

Known for his comic roles and contributions to Ghanaian film, Lil Win has also ventured into filmmaking and other creative projects, making him one of the familiar faces in the country’s entertainment space.

The traditional honour comes at a time when the actor continues to remain active in the Ghanaian movie industry, including his much-discussed international project A Journey to Africa, which features a number of Nigerian actors.

The position of Nekoso Hene of Nzulezu now gives Lil Win an additional responsibility within the traditional setting, as he joins the ranks of personalities who have been recognised for their connection, contribution or role within communities.

The colourful ceremony has since attracted attention online, with fans and social media users congratulating the actor on his new traditional status.

From entertaining audiences on screen to receiving recognition in the traditional sphere, Lil Win’s latest honour marks yet another interesting chapter in his colourful career.
