The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Greater Accra Regional Secretariat wishes to announce to its members in the Region that the long awaited nationwide NDC membership registration will start in the coming days without any further delay.
The regional leadership wants to sincerely thank party members for their patience, composure and positive attitude displayed in the wake of the delay in the release of the registration materials.
As priority initiative, we urge all party members in the region to take advantage of this registration exercise with the seriousness it deserves and make a solemn pledge to do all in our power to contribute to the forward movement of the party, including our ability to sacrifice for the progress and sustained growth of our party. There is no doubt that a greater manifestation of our sacrifices will immensely help us to become a more secured and a progressive party.
The Greater Accra Regional leadership wants to caution members and leadership at the various structures of the party within the region to desist from acts that will undermine the purpose for which we are embarking on this special exercise to strengthen the base of our great party NDC and reposition it for the 2020 victory project.
The accepted rules, procedures and guidelines of the registration must be respected and strictly adhered to in order to ensure integrity of the register. Any party member or leader that acts contrary to the rules of engagement for personal interest will be considered an enemy of the party and sanctioned accordingly.
Also, we enjoin all NDC members in the region to remain resolute in the face of the insecurity,hopelessness and the socio-economic challenges confronting us as a result of the leadership of deceit exhibited by Nana Addo led NPP government. Majority of Ghanaians especially those who campaigned vigorously for Nana Addo have now regretted the wrong choice they made by voting out the genuine and hardworking NDC government. The lazy NPP government has nothing good to offer Ghanaians so there is an urgent need to take back power and safe Ghanaians from the shackles of self-imposed “domestic slavery” in their own God given land.
But, political power cannot be won on a silver platter. We must work hard, forgive those who have wronged us one way or the other, rededicate ourselves to the core values of our great party, and embrace with an open heart, the need to be selfless, honest and discipline for the restoration and progress of our dear party, NDC in our readiness for the battle ahead of us in 2020.
The outcome of this special exercise determines our readiness for the highly anticipated NDC victory in 2020 and for that matter, we entreat all hands to be on deck for a successful exercise.
By this release, we are calling on all party position aspirants not to use the registration exercise period for campaigns but as a period for reorganization aimed at building a stronger foundation for our 2020
victory project.
