Leicester City Appoints Steve Cooper As New Manager

Steve Cooper has inked a three-year deal with Leicester City subsequent to the team’s promotion to the Premier League for the 2024/25 campaign. The Welshman will remain with the club until 2027, serving as a replacement for Enzo Maresca, who departed for Chelsea at the conclusion of the Championship season.

Cooper previously managed Nottingham Forest, leading them to promotion from the Championship to the Premier League. He also successfully navigated them through their first season in the top flight, but was let go when his team struggled to secure results during the 2023/24 season. Since then, he has been without a club.
His inaugural match as the Foxes’ manager will be against Tottenham in the 2023/25 league season.
