Former Black Stars defender Lee Addy has been named Head of Scouting for Ghana and Africa by leading football agency Virtus International, owned by Serbian agent Goran Milovanovic.
Addy, who began his professional career at Nania FC before rising to prominence with Berekum Chelsea, enjoyed a distinguished playing career that earned him moves to European sides Red Star Belgrade and Dinamo Zagreb. He represented Ghana at the 2010 FIFA World Cup and was notably linked with a potential transfer to Real Madrid during his peak years.
In his new capacity, Addy will be responsible for identifying and nurturing emerging talent across multiple levels of the game, including the Ghana Premier League, Division One League, schools competitions and community tournaments. His role will also involve mentoring young players and facilitating pathways for African prospects to secure opportunities in Europe.

Virtus International has a track record of overseeing high-profile transfers, including Daniel Opare’s move to Real Madrid and Dominic Adiyiah’s transfer to AC Milan. The agency has also worked with notable Ghanaian stars such as Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien.
Addy’s appointment is widely viewed as a significant step for Ghanaian and African football, reflecting growing recognition of local expertise in global player development and recruitment networks.
