At the launch of his campaign in Tema West Constituency, Lawyer James Enu issued a stern warning to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) against any attempts to manipulate the upcoming December elections. Speaking to a large crowd of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters and sympathizers at CHACEM PARK, Enu vowed to resist any intimidation tactics, citing the NPP’s alleged use of military presence during the 2020 elections.
Enu also outlined several initiatives aimed at promoting development within the constituency, with a particular focus on addressing infrastructure gaps and tackling job scarcity. The NDC Constituency Executives pledged their full support in securing a victory for the party, emphasizing the electorate’s desire for change.
Tema West, which has been dominated by the NPP for 28 years, continues to face challenges such as underdevelopment and high unemployment rates. The recent automation of Tema Port operations has stirred controversy, as it has led to the loss of numerous job opportunities for local residents.
Enu committed to lobbying for critical projects in the constituency, focusing on areas that are most in need. He also promised to offer free legal services to residents and called on the NPP to provide tangible evidence of their achievements over the past 28 years.
