The Vice President of the Insurance Broadcast Association of Ghana, Mr. Stephen Kwarteng Yeboah, has emphasized the vital role of insurance in protecting individuals and businesses from unforeseen events. He stressed that many Ghanaians tend to overlook the importance of insurance, but it is crucial for building a resilient society.
Mr. Yeboah noted that insurance provides a financial safety net, enabling individuals and businesses to recover quickly from unexpected events such as accidents, fires, or natural disasters. He emphasized that commercial properties, including buildings and fuel stations, must be insured and have third-party liability coverage.
This, he explained, is not only a legal requirement but also a necessary measure to ensure that individuals and businesses are protected in the event of accidents or disasters. Mr. Yeboah cited the example of fire outbreaks at fuel stations, which can result in significant losses and damage to people and property.
By having adequate insurance coverage, individuals and businesses can mitigate these risks and ensure that they are prepared for any eventuality. Mr. Yeboah urged Ghanaians to take insurance seriously and to prioritize it as an essential aspect of their financial planning.
He emphasized that insurance is not just a luxury, but a necessity that can provide peace of mind and financial security. By taking out insurance policies, individuals and businesses can protect themselves against unforeseen events and ensure that they are able to recover quickly and easily.
As the Insurance Broadcast Association of Ghana continues to promote the importance of insurance, Mr. Yeboah’s message serves as a timely reminder to Ghanaians to prioritize insurance and take control of their financial security.
