Ghanaian coach Kwesi Appiah has set his sights on winning the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with Sudan. The Falcons of Jediane are in Group D, facing Algeria, Burkina Faso, and Equatorial Guinea.
“We respect our opponents, but we won’t fear them,” Appiah told Akoma FM. “If you go into games thinking about names, you lose mentally before it begins.” Appiah emphasized that mere participation isn’t enough – Sudan aims to fight for the trophy.
Sudan’s AFCON Journey

Sudan’s last AFCON appearance was in Cameroon, where they were eliminated in the group stage. Can Appiah lead them to glory this time?
