Goalkeepers trainer Eric Amponsah has paid tribute to Kwasi Appiah’s wife for facilitating his apointment as goalkeepers trainer of the Sudanese national team.
Eric Amponsah’s wealth of experience failed to convince head coach of Sudan Kwasi Appiah following recommendation by his circle.
In an interview with Kessben TV, Eric Amponsah revealed he landed the job due to the timely intervention of Kwasi Appiah’s wife.
“I had never met Kwasi Appiah but 3 people recommended me to him to be the goalkeeper’s coach for the Sudan National Football Team when he got the job. He was a bit indecisive but after he spoke to his wife, his wife said If he’s not good, they wouldn’t have recommended him to be your goalkeeper’s coach so my husband please just appoint him as your Goalkeeper’s coach”
Eric Amponsah replaced Fatau Duada as goalkeepers trainer of the Sudan National team. He is set to play an integral role in the 2025 African Cup of Nations.
