Kurt Okraku Thanks President Mahama and Sports Minister at CAF African Schools Championship

Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has expressed gratitude to President John Mahama and Sports Minister Kofi Adams for their support during the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship.

 

Okraku praised President Mahama for attending the final despite heavy rain and presenting medals and trophies to the young athletes.

“The Executive Committee of CAF wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to H.E. John Dramani Mahama for taking time off his busy schedule to join us at the African Schools Football Championship final,” CAF stated.

 

Okraku also thanked the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, led by Hon. Kofi Adams, saying,

“We also wish to extend our sincere appreciation to the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, for gracing the occasion and, like President Mahama, standing in the rain to honour the young champions. Your dedication to the growth of school sports and the empowerment of our young footballers across Ghana and Africa is truly commendable.”

 

The 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship showcased young talents from across the continent, highlighting football’s power to unite and inspire.

Ghana’s successful hosting reflects the country’s passion for the sport and its growing stature in African football.
