President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has successfully concluded his working tour of the Upper West Region with a productive and engaging stakeholder dialogue in the Sissala East Municipality.
The interaction, held on Tuesday, January 3, 2026, at the Sissala East Municipal Hall in Tumu, brought together the leadership of the Sissala East Municipal Football Association, club officials, and Catch Them Young referees for an open and interactive session aimed at strengthening collaboration and advancing grassroots football development.

Officials from clubs across the municipality converged for the historic engagement, which formed part of the GFA President’s broader strategy to connect directly with football stakeholders at the community level and gain first-hand insight into the challenges and opportunities shaping the game at the grassroots.
Earlier in the day, President Simeon-Okraku paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive, Honourable Adamu Yakubu. Discussions during the visit focused on shared development priorities, with particular emphasis on the role of football in youth empowerment, social cohesion, and community development.
The stakeholder dialogue provided a valuable platform for participants to ask pertinent questions, share experiences, and raise concerns affecting football development within the municipality. President Simeon-Okraku welcomed the contributions and feedback, stressing that such engagements are critical to informed decision-making and the formulation of responsive, inclusive policies.
He reaffirmed the GFA’s commitment to working closely with local football authorities, clubs, and match officials to address existing challenges, strengthen administrative and technical structures, and create sustainable pathways for identifying and nurturing young talent across the country.
The meeting marked a fitting conclusion to the GFA President’s Upper West Regional tour, underscoring his administration’s people-centered approach and unwavering dedication to building Ghana football from the grassroots through dialogue, partnership, and sustained investment.
