Kumasi Asante Kotoko must prepare adequately to restore past glory – C K Akonnor
Former head coach of Asante Kotoko, Charles Kwabena Akonnor has expressed that the club need for comprehensive improvements across all aspects of the game to restore its past glory .
In an interview with another platform, CK Akonnor emphasizes that the club needs to address all areas that require refinement and reinforcement.
“I think they need to look at themselves and see, where are we now and what we have to do to improve the squad and also to improve our game and also be known as it were some years back. The likes of Abdul Razak, Papa Arko, I think they won the champions league and this is missing and this is what they need to look at and work on it.”
In the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season, the Porcupine Warriors clinched victory under the leadership of coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, who returned to the club after departing in the same year following the trophy triumph.
As the record holders of the Ghana Premier League, the team is currently engaged in pre-season preparations for the upcoming campaign scheduled to commence in September, barring any unexpected impediments.
