Krowor MP Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey Launches Free Vacation Classes for JHS 2 Students.
Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Member of Parliament for Krowor constituency in the Greater Accra Region, has launched an initiative to provide free vacation classes for Junior High School (JHS) 2 students within her constituency.
The program, which was officially inaugurated yesterday, August 7, 2024, at the Nungua Town park aims to enhance the academic performance of students as they prepare for their final year of basic education.
In her address during the launch, Dr. Lartey emphasized the importance of education as a tool for empowerment and encouraged the students to make the most of the opportunity.
“These classes are designed to support your learning and to give you a strong foundation for your future studies. I urge you to take this seriously and be dedicated to your academic work,” she said.
The classes will cover key subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, and Social Studies, with experienced teachers from the area leading the sessions.
The program is expected to run throughout the vacation period, offering students a valuable chance to catch up on their studies and improve their understanding of critical subjects.
Parents and community leaders have praised the initiative, noting that it will help bridge the gap for students who might struggle with their studies outside the regular school term.
The program is part of Dr. Naa Momo Lartey’s broader efforts to improve education within the Krowor constituency, reflecting her commitment to the development of young people in the area.
As the classes begin, students and parents alike are hopeful that this intervention will have a positive impact on academic performance, setting the stage for future success.
