Krowor MCE Vows to Complete Stalled Ansaru-Sunnah School Project in Nungua Zongo

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Krowor Municipal Assembly, Ing. Paul Nii Afotey Quaye, has pledged his firm commitment to the timely completion of the Ansaru-Sunnah Basic School project located in Nungua Zongo.

The two-story, six-unit classroom block, which began in June 2019, currently stands at only 40% completion, leaving the community in urgent need of educational infrastructure.

During a project inspection tour, Hon. Nii Afotey Quaye spoke to Ahotor News, revealing that the existing contractor has shown little interest in continuing the project.

As a result, the Assembly has decided to terminate the contract and repackage the project for re-award to a more committed contractor.

“The Assembly recognizes the importance of this school to the children and families in Nungua Zongo. We are taking the necessary steps to ensure the project is revived and completed without further delay,” the MCE stated.

He emphasized that completing the school is not only a priority for the Assembly but a crucial step toward improving access to quality education in underserved communities.

Residents of Nungua Zongo have long awaited the completion of the facility, which promises to alleviate overcrowding in existing schools and provide a safer, more conducive learning environment for young students.
