Hon. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection and MP for the Krowor Constituency, recently made a significant contribution to her community by donating cash, sewing machines, and other essential items. The event was held at Nungua Wazaa Park and saw attendance from key leaders, including Municipal Executive (MCE) for Krowor Constituency,Hon. Ing. Paul Afotey Quaye, and other assembly members. This donation marks her fourth such initiative aimed at supporting businesses, students, and vulnerable members of her constituency.
During her interaction with the media, Hon. Agnes emphasized that her support is a direct investment in the future of the people, especially those who cannot afford to pay back as loans. She highlighted that many homes in Krowor are headed by single mothers or women facing financial hardship, making it difficult for them to meet educational expenses or start small businesses. Her donations targeted students from basic to tertiary levels who were struggling due to these challenges.
MCE Hon. Ing. Paul Afotey reaffirmed the local government’s dedication to serving the people of Krowor consistently, not just during election periods. He stressed that their office remains open and accessible to constituents in need, and such donations and support are part of the core mandate to assist their people. This ongoing engagement aims to ensure that the constituency remains a model of development and that the government’s efforts positively impact lives.
The beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude for the timely and generous support from Hon. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey. Many shared that they had not expected such help to come so quickly, yet the Minister’s proactive efforts have made a real difference in their lives. Their blessings and appreciation reflect the strong bond between the community and their representative, underscoring the importance of responsive and compassionate leadership.
