Kpando Hearts Of Lions Deepen Hearts Of Oak’s Woes With 2-0 Victory On GPL Matchday 2
Kpando Hearts of Lions gave out a major blow to Hearts of Oak, securing a 2-0 victory in their Ghana Premier League Matchday 2 encounter at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
The defeat adds to Hearts of Oak’s early-season struggles, leaving the Phobians in search of their first win.
Hearts of Lions took control of the match early on, with their attacking play putting Hearts of Oak under constant pressure. The breakthrough came in the late second half when a well-taken goal through Nana Oppong gave the hosts a deserved lead in the 83rd minutes.
Kpando Hearts of Lions doubled their lead through Ishmael Addo in the 87th minutes, taking advantage of a defensive lapse from the Phobians.
Despite efforts to mount a comeback, Hearts of Oak could not find the back of the net, and the home side saw out the game comfortably.
This loss piles more pressure on Hearts of Oak as fans grow concerned about the team’s performance especially after losing their first home game to new entrance Basake Holy Stars in the 2024-25 season.
