Kotoko IMC Chairman, Nana Apinkrah Draws Line in the Sand, Demands Fulfillment of Requests

Nana Apinkrah, Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Asante Kotoko, has issued a stern warning to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), stating that the club will not return to the Premier League until all their requests are granted.

In a bold move, Nana Apinkrah emphasized that Kotoko’s participation in future football activities hinges on the GFA’s willingness to address their concerns.

The IMC Chairman’s declaration sends a clear message that the club is unwilling to compromise on its demands.

The specifics of Kotoko’s requests come after its ardent supporter Nana Pooley was carelessly murdered in Nsoatre on February 2, 2025 in their league against against Nsoatreman FC which has forced the GFA to pause the league.

The club’s leadership is seeking assurances that concerns that justice is served and issued of security and safety will be addressed before they resume their involvement in official football activities.

In recent development, Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have demanded deployment of 20 Military Personnel at Match Venues in a joint statement addressed to the Ghana Football Association before resuming of the league.
