Kotoko Coach Denies Rivalry Between Albert Amoah and Kwame Opoku
Asante Kotoko interim head coach Abdul Karim Zito has dismissed claims of a rivalry between strikers Albert Amoah and Kwame Opoku.
Some fans had alleged friction between the two players due to perceived selfish play in recent matches.
Zito attributes the incidents to self-centeredness, saying both players want to score to feel important.
“Everybody wants to score to feel important…it’s not rivalry but rather self-centeredness,” he explained.
The coach has assured fans that Kotoko will work on improving their finishing in training.
Zito remains confident that his team can still win the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title this season.
