Popular Ghanaian blogger and media personality Kobby Kyei has finally addressed rumours suggesting that he is romantically involved with actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown.
Speaking in an interview with Kula, Kobby Kyei firmly denied ever having a romantic relationship with McBrown, stressing that their bond has always been based on friendship, trust and mutual respect.
According to him, although the dating rumours had already been debunked, McBrown’s reaction to the situation made him appreciate their friendship even more.
Kobby revealed that there was a particular moment when McBrown demonstrated how much she trusted him, which changed his perspective on their relationship.
“That moment was a signal to me that I had to cherish this woman and go all out for her,” he said, adding that the experience deepened his respect and love for her as a friend.
He further described the dating rumours as a humbling experience, explaining that they made him realise that people positively viewed their close friendship.
“Even though I debunked the rumour, it was actually a humbling moment for me. It made me feel like I was doing something right and carrying myself responsibly for people to even think that,” he added.
However, Kobby Kyei made it clear that he has no intention of presenting McBrown as his romantic partner.
“I can’t walk around saying I’m dating McBrown. Please, let me keep my wife. We’re going somewhere,” he said jokingly.
His comments have once again highlighted the close friendship between the two media personalities while putting to rest speculation about a romantic relationship between them.
