Kanye West has made it clear he isn’t a fan of Kendrick Lamar’s chart-topping track Not Like Us.
In a post on X, the 24-time Grammy winner expressed his strong dislike for the song, adding to his recent stream of comments about the music industry and his relationships with fellow artists.
West’s remarks follow his criticism of Kendrick Lamar’s appearance on Playboi Carti’s latest album. “I didn’t need to hear Kendrick on this track,” he said, implying his dissatisfaction with the collaboration.
His stance aligns with his recent views on the ongoing Kendrick vs. Drake rivalry, which has been labeled as one of the greatest feuds in American hip-hop history. Despite his own complicated history with Drake, West has admitted to feeling jealous of the Canadian rapper. In a surprising confession, he also stated that he loves Drake and even wants him to speak at his funeral.
However, not everyone shares West’s opinion of Not Like Us, which became the defining track of the Kendrick-Drake feud. The song dominated the charts, won five awards at the 67th Grammys, and was a highlight of Lamar’s record-breaking 2025 Super Bowl halftime performance.
The track has also sparked legal drama, with Drake suing Universal Music for failing to block the song’s release. He claims the track falsely portrays him as a pedophile and accuses the label of using unethical tactics to boost its popularity at his expense.
