The family of the late Apostle Prof. Emeritus Kwadwo Safo Kantanka has dismissed reports circulating on social media and some media platforms announcing dates for his funeral, describing the information as false and unauthorised.
In an official statement released on Thursday, July 23, 2026, the family clarified that no funeral arrangements have been officially announced and appealed to the public to disregard any publications suggesting otherwise.
According to the statement, the family is still making the necessary preparations and will communicate the official funeral details at the appropriate time through the right channels.
The family also expressed heartfelt appreciation to sympathisers, friends, the media, and the general public for the outpouring of love,
prayers, and condolences following the passing of the celebrated inventor, industrialist, and founder of the Kantanka Group.
They urged Ghanaians and media outlets to rely only on official family communications to avoid the spread of misinformation regarding the funeral of the respected statesman.
The clarification comes amid widespread speculation online over the final funeral arrangements for Apostle Prof. Emeritus Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, whose death has left many Ghanaians mourning the loss of one of the country’s most influential innovators.
