Veteran Nigerian actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has revealed that the quality of the script for Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin’s upcoming movie,
A Journey to Africa, convinced him to travel from Nigeria to Ghana to join the production.According to the respected Nollywood actor, his decision to accept a role is largely influenced by the strength and quality of a script.
Kanayo explained that as an actor, he is prepared to travel and work on a production whenever a script meets his professional standards.
“I am an actor. If a script is worth my while, I will accept to work on it.”
He noted that A Journey to Africa had a storyline and script strong enough to convince him to leave Nigeria and participate in the Ghanaian production.
The collaboration brings together two prominent figures from Ghana and Nigeria’s film industries, highlighting the long-standing relationship between Ghanaian and Nigerian cinema.
Kanayo O. Kanayo, who has enjoyed a career spanning several decades, is one of Nollywood’s recognisable veteran actors.
