The National Film Authority (NFA) is setting the stage for a new era in Ghanaian cinema, and it’s starting with wisdom from the legends.
In a heartfelt and strategic move, the CEO of the NFA, Kafui Danku, led a team to pay a courtesy visit to one of Ghana’s greatest film icons, Mr. King Ampaw
Announcing the visit via her official Facebook page, Kafui Danku described it as “a significant effort to strengthen the future of Ghana’s film industry.”
The meeting, which took place yesterday, was part of a broader vision to build a stronger foundation for the industry by tapping into the experience of pioneers like Mr. Ampaw, whose contributions to Ghanaian cinema are unmatched.
“This visit was aimed at leveraging the wealth of his experience and to foster deeper collaboration,” Daku posted. “We believe that engaging with our legends will facilitate the growth of Ghana’s film sector.”
The visit stirred excitement in the film community, with industry players like actor James Gardiner also tagged in the post — hinting at potential collaborations or mentorship projects in the works.
Fans and creatives alike are thrilled to see the NFA embracing both the past and the future. With initiatives like this, Ghana’s film industry might just be stepping into a golden era.
