The Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has pledged to prioritize the Afram Plains if elected as President.
He assured the residents that the area would receive its fair share of the “national cake” under an NDC government.
Addressing a gathering at Maame Krobo in the Afram Plains South Constituency during his Eastern Regional tour, Mr. Mahama emphasized the NDC’s historical commitment to the development of the Afram Plains.
He noted that many of the significant improvements in the area were achieved during previous NDC administrations and promised to build on that legacy.
“Afram Plains is NDC, and NDC is Afram Plains. All the good things here came during NDC’s time, and I promise you, Afram Plains will get its fair share of the national cake,” he declared confidently.
As part of his plans for the area, Mr. Mahama announced the establishment of Farmers’ Service Centres in both Afram Plains regions.
These centres, he explained, would provide vital support to local farmers, enhancing agricultural productivity and boosting the area’s economy.
He further urged voters in the Afram Plains and across Ghana to reject the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which he accused of making empty promises and neglecting the needs of the people.
“Don’t fall for the lies of the NPP again. Give the NDC the chance to reset the country and bring real development,” he advised.
Mr. Mahama’s message resonated with the crowd, as he reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to the prosperity and well-being of the Afram Plains.
