National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama has pledged that if elected, he will lead a national reset to secure a better future for the next generation.
John Mahama, speaking at the Cape Coast North constituency during his Central Regional tour, emphasized the urgency of correcting what he described as mismanagement under the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.
“The country needs a reset,” Mr. Mahama asserted, warning that if Ghana continues on its current trajectory, future generations will suffer the consequences.
He criticized President Akufo-Addo, urging him to prioritize the needs of the people rather than focusing on symbolic gestures, such as erecting statues in his own honor.
Addressing Ghanaians, John Mahama called for their support, suggesting that voters should reflect on the current state of the economy when casting their ballots.
“Let’s vote for the NDC if we agree that the NPP has mishandled the country,” he said. “But if we are content with the state of our finances, then by all means, let’s repeat the mistake and vote for them again.”
Expressing confidence in the NDC’s path to victory, John Mahama shared his belief that divine intervention has opened the way for change.
He assured Ghanaians that his team has the expertise to tackle the nation’s challenges, though he cautioned that early days in office would be challenging.
“Things may be tough initially, but with our policies, we will overcome them,” he promised.
John Mahama also noted a growing dissatisfaction within the NPP’s own ranks, with many party members privately expressing frustration with the current leadership and a desire for change.
He encouraged all Ghanaians, including disillusioned NPP supporters, to join him in restoring hope and setting Ghana on a new path forward.
