John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), assured the people of Nalerigu in the North East region that his government will restore proper security in the area if elected.
He emphasized that only the NDC has consistently provided adequate protection for the northern sector, a fact he believes the people are well aware of.
Mahama criticized the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for failing to offer necessary protection, even to those who voted for them, leaving citizens vulnerable.
During his campaign tour, Mahama strongly warned armed robbers who have been attacking traders in the area, stating that the NDC’s return to power would put an end to their actions.
He claimed that under the NPP, residents have been living as though under curfew due to insecurity, and urged them to vote massively for the NDC for better governance and the safety they deserve.
He assured the people that with the NDC in power, the ongoing thefts and insecurity would be eradicated.
