President John Mahama Announces Third Batch of Ministerial Nominees to Drive National Renewal

Accra, Ghana – The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has submitted a list of nominees to Parliament, through the Speaker, for prior approval to serve as Ministers of State and Regional Ministers.

This was announced in a statement signed by the Acting Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.

Regional Minister Nominees:

Puozuing Charles Lwanga: Nominated as Upper West Regional Minister.

Joseph Addae Akwaboa: Nominated as Bono Regional Minister.

Francis Owusu Antwi: Nominated as Bono East Regional Minister.

Ministers of State Nominees:

Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah: Nominated to lead the Ministry of Defence.

Samuel Nartey George: Nominated as Minister of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations.

Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah: Proposed to head the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.

Kofi Iddie Adams: Nominated as Minister of Sports and Recreation.

Abdul-Rashid H. Pelpuo: Selected for the Ministry of Labour, Jobs, and Employment.

Kwabena Mintah Akandoh: Proposed to head the Ministry of Health.

Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed: Nominated to lead the Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology.

Joseph Bukari Nikpe: Nominated as Minister of Transport.

Other Ministerial Positions:

Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak: Appointed as Minister of Interior.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa: Selected to lead the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Adjei Kenneth Gilbert: Proposed for the Ministry of Works, Housing, and Water Resources.

Special Initiatives and State Roles:

Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum: Appointed as Minister of State in charge of Special Initiatives.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu: Nominated as Minister of State for Government Communications.

Issifu Seidu: Nominated as Minister of State for Climate and Sustainability.

The nominees, if approved by Parliament, will bring diverse expertise and experience to their respective roles, contributing to the development and governance of the nation.
