Ghanaian actor-turned-politician, John Dumelo, who now serves as the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West, has dedicated a portion of his first parliamentary salary to widows in the Tesano area of his constituency.
In a heartfelt post on his official Facebook page, Dumelo shared that although he has numerous responsibilities, he felt compelled to use part of his earnings to support the widows during the Easter season.
Highlighting the significance of Easter as a time for giving and compassion, the MP expressed his hope that his gesture would inspire others to share with those in need.
Alongside his message, Dumelo shared a video of his visit, stating: “I spent part of my first salary as a Member of Parliament with widows in the Tesano area of Ayawaso West constituency yesterday. Easter is always a good time to share with others. God bless us all.”
Before entering politics, Dumelo gained nationwide fame as an actor, starring in dozens of popular Ghanaian and Nigerian films. Beyond the screen, he is also known for his work as an entrepreneur and a farmer, and over the years, he has consistently been involved in charitable initiatives.
