John Dramani Mahama is a “legacy President” – Hon Haruna Iddrisu eulogizes President Mahama for fulfilling his pledge to Ghanaians

Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, has praised President John Dramani Mahama for fulfilling his campaign promises to the Ghanaian people.

Speaking at the National Education Forum in the Volta region, Iddrisu described President Mahama as a “legacy president” who will set a precedent for future presidents to honor their commitments to the people.

Iddrisu highlighted the National Education Forum as a key example of President Mahama’s promise to consult with experts and professionals to improve the education sector.

He also reflected on the progress made towards achieving free compulsory universal basic education, 30 years after the implementation of the 1992 constitution.

The Minister acknowledged the challenges faced during the implementation of free senior high school education, particularly concerning infrastructure.

However, he urged Ghanaians to support the initiative, emphasizing that the current administration is committed to driving positive change.

As a seasoned politician, Hon. Iddrisu has been a strong advocate for education and youth empowerment.

His commitment to improving Ghana’s education sector is evident in his various roles, including his current position as Minister for Education.
