Job For The Boys Approach Will Be Seize – NDC Manifesto Spokesperson On Infrastructure Cautions

National Democratic Congress manifesto spokesperson on infrastructure, Mr Richard Anamoo has raised concerns about the lack of proper maintenance for sporting facilities in the country.

Speaking on Ahotor Agorokensie show, Mr Richard Anamoo expressed that the maintenance of sporting facilities is not complicated but practice where maintenance contracts are awarded based on political patronage, rather than technical expertise which has led to substandard upkeep of the facilities.

Mr Richard Anamoo pointed out that this “job for the boys” approach must stop and proper maintenance modules and structures must be layout especially facilities at the coastal areas which needs the technical expertise.

The next NDC government has plans to establish a professional body dedicated to maintaining and managing sports facilities, ensuring that only qualified individuals handle the upkeep of these critical infrastructures and all the necessary tools and financial supports will be given to them.
