Jesse Bisiwu rejects GFA approach, chooses Belgium international future

Ghanaian-born defender Jesse Bisiwu has reportedly rejected an approach from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to switch his international allegiance to Ghana.

According to reports, the GFA made repeated attempts to convince the youngster to commit his international future to the Black Stars, with assurances that he would be given priority consideration for the senior national team.

However, Bisiwu’s father is said to have immediately turned down the proposal on behalf of the player, who remains determined to represent Belgium at international level.

Despite the GFA’s assurances regarding his first-team prospects, Bisiwu has reportedly maintained his decision to pursue a future with the Belgian national team.

The Belgian Football Association (RBFA) is also understood to be fully aware of the situation and continues to monitor the player’s development closely.

Bisiwu’s decision means Ghana could miss out on the services of another promising dual-national player as the GFA continues its efforts to attract eligible talents with international ties to the country.

For now, the youngster’s preference remains clear: he wants to represent Belgium.
