Jamie Carragher Links West Ham’s Struggles to Mohammed Kudus’ Form Slump
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes Mohammed Kudus’ dip in form has significantly contributed to West Ham United’s poor performances this season.
After a stellar debut campaign, scoring 14 goals and providing 7 assists, Kudus has struggled to replicate his form, managing only 4 goals and 3 assists in all competitions.
Carragher attributes West Ham’s struggles to Kudus’ lack of form, stating, “Probably one of the reasons why West Ham are where they are this season is because he hasn’t shown the form that he showed last season.
” He believes Kudus is a quality player suited for top-table teams, not those fighting relegation.
Carragher also suggests that West Ham might consider selling Kudus to raise funds, given the interest from top European teams.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a change there in some way, because… West Ham need the money.”
West Ham United will conclude their campaign with an away match against relegated Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Sunday.
