I’ve never run to juju for hit songs – Joyce Blessing

Gospel musician Joyce Blessing, has disclosed that she never seeks help from any spiritualist to make hit songs.

The ‘I swerve’ hitmaker claimed that she has never thought of seeking help from elsewhere while she has Jesus Christ who has never-expiring powers.

She told Nana Kwesi Asare on the Big Show on Class91.3FM on Saturday, 13 April that: “It has never crossed my mind and it will never cross my mind to seek spiritual help from any source [to make a hit song]. There is no power greater than Jesus Christ. He is the only one who has the greatest of powers, power that does not expire.”

“There’re powers on this earth but it comes with expiry dates. Those powers will give you the hit song that you are seeking, but within a short time, you will fade away, you may not survive again.”

The ‘Repent’ singer stated that if anyone relies on God and becomes truthful to Him, He [God] will sustain them in the industry until they decide to put down the microphone.

“But if you rely on God and are truthful to Him, He will sustain and sustain you until you decide not to sing again, that is what I know, so, it has never crossed my mind to seek help elsewhere, no.”

She claimed that before she releases a song, she fasts and prays.

“I’m very prayerful. Recently, I went to the mountains with Dave to undertake a four-day dry fasting and also at Tema. That one was five days dry fasting. I didn’t eat and we prayed, so, from there, God blessed me with these hit songs. So, before I release a song, the first thing I always do is to pray in my house, we join hands together for a day or two before bringing the song out for my fans to listen”, she stated.
