Its only unity that can help us snatch Tema West seat – Seidu Ajako charges NDC members

Sakumono south ward coordinator of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon Seidu Ajako has called on its members to come together because unity is the only weapon that can help the NDC in Tema West to take the seat from the ruling NPP party coming 2024 general elections.
Speaking to Ahotor fm’s reporter Yaw Asiedu, at a keep fit walk which was organized by the NDC branch at Tema West dubbed “Zuza Walk” on the 24th of September, 2022, the ward coordinator said the party did well in the last elections but with little misunderstanding among folks, they failed to win the Tema West seat, hence the calling for better alternative.
The “Zuza Walk” brought many dignitaries of the NDC in Tema West on board, and also some participants who are contesting for positions in the party in their ongoing internal elections shared their views and called on delegates to vote for them as they prepare to win the election 2024.
Hon. Seidu Ajako advised participants to come on board and campaign for the big umbrella should they lose to their fellows in their internal elections.
According to him, there will be more programs of such during and after the elections and he is sure that it will bring winners and losers together and jeer up for victory in election 2024.
The NDC will open nominations for its Constituency elections between 20th and 22nd September, 2022, and filing of nominations is slated for 28th to 29th September, 2022.
The nominees would be vetted between 30th September and 2nd October, 2022, and the hearing of appeals would be done on October 5, 2022.
General Secretary of the NDC, Mr Asiedu Nketia said the opening of nominations at the regional elections would be done between October 6 and October 7, 2022, and the filing of nominations between October 14 and October 15, 2022.
He said the main regional elections would be heralded by the Regional Youth Organiser and Women’s Organiser conferences slated for November 11, 2022.
Regarding the National Congress, the NDC will open nominations between 20th and 21st October, 2022, and filing of nominations would be received from 5th November, to 6th November, 2022.
“We will hold the National Youth Organiser and Women conferences on Saturday, December 10,2022, and the main national Congress will be held on December 17, 2022,” Mr Nketia said.
The NDC said persons living with any form of disability would be offered 50 per cent discount on the filing fees at at all levels.
Mr Nketia said aspirants for the Constituency Chairmanship position would pay a filing fee of GHS600 while those vying for the Constituency Vice Chairman, Secretary, Organiser, Treasurer, and Communications Officer positions will pay GHS400.
Aspirants for the Regional Chairmanship positions would pay a filing fee of GHS 4,000, and those vying for the Regional, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Organizer, Treasurer, and Communications Officer positions will pay GHS3,000.
“The Youth, Women, and Zongo Caucus Coordinators will pay GHS2,000 and all other deputies will pay GHS1,500,” Mr Nketia said.
