“When I hear people say the chinese league is not competitive, I laugh because I know it’s not true. It is very competitive and difficult to play in the league. If you are not strong enough, you can’t play”, he said.
When the host of Ahotor Agorokansie on Ahotor FM, Daakyehene Kwabena Amoabeng asked about his former boss Rafael Benitez and his relationship with the ex Liverpool and Real Madrid boss, the prolific striker had high praises for his former coach who left his chinese club Dalian Yifang in January 2021 citing personal reasons for his departure.
“Rafa is a good manager and I like him a lot. He is jovial and not racist. He is one of the best coaches I have met and am proud to have worked with him, he concluded
Emmanuel Boateng completed a move from Spanish club Levante to Chinese outfit Dalian Yifang in the summer of 2019.
The move brought an end to a frustrating time for the 22-year-old, who has struggled for playing time and form that season following an impressive time the season before having made 16 league appearances for Levante in 2018-19, starting seven and scoring once.
