National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama has expressed strong confidence that his party will emerge victorious in the December 7th elections.
Speaking at Apam during his Central Region tour, Mr. Mahama stated that the NPP already senses the NDC’s likely win and has started promoting a “skirt and blouse” strategy—urging voters to choose him as president while voting for NPP parliamentary candidates.
John Mahama rejected this approach, emphasizing that a full NDC majority in both the presidency and parliament is essential for swift and cohesive progress.
“In Sha Allah, the NDC will win, and we need your votes not only for the presidency but also for all our parliamentary candidates to effectively drive the changes we have planned for Ghanaians,” he declared.
Warning against exchanging votes for temporary incentives like oil, rice, or money that the NPP might offer, Mr. Mahama urged voters to remember the hardships they have endured over the past eight years.
“Take whatever they bring—they’ve taken it from you anyway—but remember your struggles under their leadership. No one will judge you for reclaiming what’s yours,” he said.
To ensure a clear NDC vote, John Mahama reminded voters to recognize the NDC’s umbrella symbol on the ballot, regardless of its position, and to avoid confusion with numbers.
He assured the Apam community of specific improvements, including reliable access to premix fuel for fishermen and a facelift for the Apam Mansford Landing Beach, under an NDC government dedicated to national development.
