I’m disappointed in the 8th parliament – Bekwai MP.

Hon. Joseph Osei Wusu, the Member of Parliament for Bekwai and the 2nd Deputy Speaker of Parliament, has expressed deep disappointment with the performance of Ghana’s current parliament.

In a recent interview, he noted that the 8th Parliament has not achieved much in terms of legislation, emphasizing that they have spent significant time on issues of little importance, rather than focusing on their primary responsibility of lawmaking.

Osei Wusu stressed that the essence of democracy lies in open discussions and the exchange of ideas. He raised concerns that the inability of the two sides of parliament to collaborate effectively is undermining the democratic process.

He urged his fellow parliamentarians to prioritize the nation’s progress, putting aside personal or political differences for the betterment of Ghana and the effectiveness of the parliamentary system.
