National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has bemoaned the hardship President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addoand Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia have plunged the country into, saying it is “unbearable and unimaginable”.
He said fuel prices increase almost every week while farmers are crying for lack of fertilisers, which were provided free under the erstwhile John Mahama government.
He said if Ghanaians want to know the size of the economy under the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government, “just look at the size kenkey”.
Mr Ofosu Ampofo was speaking ahead of a courtesy call on the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, at his palace on Monday, October 18 by former President John Dramani Mahama.
It was to mark the start of his day’s tour of the Volta Region.
Mr Mahama is in the Region to thank supporters and sympathisers of the NDC for the massive support before, during and after the 2020 elections.
