Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has challenged the common belief that setbacks in life are caused by “village people.”
He argues that this notion is unfounded and urges people to stop attributing their struggles to others in their communities.
In a social media post, Yul pointed out that individuals in villages are often preoccupied with their own lives and lack the time or interest to interfere with others.
He encouraged people to take personal responsibility for their challenges instead of placing blame externally.
Yul further suggested that not all problems can be resolved through prayer or church interventions. Instead, he advised individuals to reflect inwardly and consider exploring traditional remedies or seeking answers about their heritage and purpose.
He wrote:
“Stop blaming your village for holding you back. The people there are busy trying to improve their own lives. You’re the one holding yourself back. Go back home, consult traditional sources, and seek clarity about your life. Understand your roots and direction. The church doesn’t have all the answers.”
