The Director of Elections of the NDC, Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankra has taken a swipe at the Electoral commission and its commissioner, madam Jean Mensah for what he describes as irresponsible and bias conduct on the part of the commission.
According to Hon .Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, the posture of the EC does not inspire confidence and hope going into the December polls , he described the EC as an institution that is unwilling to ensure fairness but rather continues to hide behind the veil of institutional neutrality advancing the interest of President Akuffo Addo to be re-elected for the second time despite his failure and numerous broken promises.
The former minister of youth and sports indicated that the numerous infractions recorded in the ongoing voters registeration exercise further confirm the suspicions of the party over the activities and engagements of the EC as a referee that’s not interested in providing a uniform platform for parties to compete.
Speaking on Simpieso, a socio-political afternoon show on Ahotorfm92.3, the director of elections of the NDC expressed worry over the attitude of the madam Jean Mensah since her appointment as the boss of the commission and according to him he would rather trust a cobra than the electoral commission and its boss.

According to hon. Elvis, the commission is aggressively pursing their own agenda of ensuring President Akuffo Addo is maintained against the will of Ghanaians who at this point, are willing and ready to change the President in the face of economic hardships, insecurity and lawlessness engulfing the country, he also assured the teaming supporters of the NDC the readiness of his outfit to remain vigilant over the ongoing voters registeration exercise to ensure victory is delivered for the NDC.
