I will sow GHC 10,000 into the party’s welfare coffers if am elected as Treasurer – former chairman pledges

A former Branch Chairman of Tema East Constituency, Charles Amoako Brobbey who has declared his intention to contest for the position of a Treasurer for the NDC has pledged to sow a seed capital of GhC 10,000 into the party’s welfare coffers if he is elected into office at the constituency.

He said a Treasurer is to mobilize, build and ensure a strong financial and human resource base and that he believes he possess.

According to him, the decision to sow Gh 10,000 into the party’s welfare coffers is to support the constituency’s welfare.

Adding that,the Welfare system has been nonfunctional and party members depend on the Chairman and MP for help when the need arises.

To show leadership by example and to build a resilient constituency, he will sow this seed to support members in need and to also lessen the burden on the MP and chairman immediately he is voted as the treasurer.

One of his key measures is to strengthen the financial muscles of the party and also ensure that members pay their dues regularly to help sustain the party.

He said having supported the party in the last few years in diverse ways as the former Branch Chairman with his generosity and integrity, he believes that he has what it takes to mobilize funds, ensure transparency and accountability to help the NDC consolidates it’s base in Tema East for Victory ahead in the 2024 elections.

The NDC party is yet to open nominations for the constituency elections. He has called on all delegates in the Tema East constituency to vote for him as the right candidate when the party opens nominations at the constituency level.

He again called for a united front to continue to retain the Parliamentary seat in the Tema East Constituency and to better their votes for John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 elections.
