John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, has pledged to build a modern district referral hospital in Yendi if elected president, aiming to enhance healthcare access in the area.
During a gathering in Yendi as part of his three-day Northern Regional tour, John Mahama expressed disappointment that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government did not include Yendi in its Agenda 111 hospital initiative.
“Yendi will have a modern district referral hospital to significantly improve healthcare access for residents and surrounding communities. I expected this government to prioritize Yendi under Agenda 111, but nothing has been done,” Mr. Mahama remarked.
He further promised a water extension program to bring clean drinking water to Yendi and its neighboring areas, addressing the region’s water challenges.
As part of Day 3 of his #Mahama4Change2024 tour, John Mahama presented a vehicle to the Islamic Education Unit and later addressed a community gathering in Savelugu.
He will conclude the first phase of his Northern Region tour with a mini-rally in Kumbungu, where he will speak to local residents about his vision for change.
