I Want to Use 64 Battalion Concert to Push Young Talents – Iwan

Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artist Iwan has revealed his intention to use his upcoming concert as a platform to support and uplift emerging musicians in the country.

Speaking on Ahotor Mmre with Obaapa Janee, Iwan stressed that Ghana is filled with incredible talent, but many young artistes are not getting the exposure they deserve.

According to him, both industry veterans and the media have a role to play in pushing new talent to the top.

“We have a lot of talent in the system that needs a push from us and the media,” he said. “But it seems the media is projecting particular people and promoting them alone, which is not good for the industry in the near future if young talents are not helped.”

He noted that his upcoming concert is intentionally designed to create opportunities for rising artists to showcase their craft to a larger audience.

The event is set to take place at Rising Phoenix (Akoma Village )on Saturday, starting from 6:00 PM. The entry fee is selling at GHS30.

The night promises to be a vibrant experience, with a strong lineup of upcoming musicians expected to mount the stage alongside Iwan, making it not just a concert but a platform for discovery and growth.

Iwan’s move is being seen as a positive step toward bridging the gap between established acts and the next generation, while also calling attention to the need for fair and balanced media promotion within Ghana’s music industry.
