West Ham has had a sloppy start in the 2024/2025 Premier League. On Saturday afternoon their poor run continued as they drew 1-1 against Brentford.
Mohammed Kudus who has largely been the spark in a frustrating West Ham team was hulled off at halftime. This did raise eyebrows and coach Julen Lopetegui was quizzed on his decision to sub the Ghanaian.
In response, Julen Lopetegui indicated he effected that change because of tactical reasons.
Tomas Soucek’s second-half strike earned West Ham a point at Brentford after Bryan Mbeumo scored in the first minute.
Mohammed Kudus registered 3 shots in 45 minutes against Brentford. He has yet to score for West Ham this season.
