Deputy Director of International Affairs of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fred Agbenyo has indicated that he does not need the world bank representative in Ghana to tell him how covid money was spent in the country. According to him, he was in the country and saw everything by himself hence no need for interpretation on covid expenditure.
Speaking in an interview monitored by Onokwafo Yaw Asiedu of Ahotor FM, he said if, for nothing at all, there is uphold evidence from one of their own parliamentary candidates that came out to speak on how covid-19 money was disbursed among themselves, and the videos are available which everybody saw it.
“We saw the budget that was presented to us after they fed Ghanaians in Accra and Kumasi during the lockdown, he said.
But according to him, the covid is gone, but we are still paying covid levy which should not be so.
The World Bank said its baseline projections remain subject to multiple downside risks amid uncertainty about developments in global commodity markets, the degree of additional global and domestic policy tightening needed to subdue persistent inflation, and the resilience of the world economy and global financial system to a prolonged period of tight monetary policies.
